Marketing Movies Marketing movies is a mixed documentary as it contains interviews, cutaway, narration, footage and observation. It shows themes of how to market products exploring the best and worst ways to do so showing you how to market a film from beginning to end.
The narrative structure was linear as it had a clear beginning, middle and end. The start was a short introduction exploring the subject of marketing. It then went into the ways to market a movie looking at posters, billboards and trailers to show how important each factor is to the marketing industry. It then finishes letting the audience decide for themselves whether they believe it was successful or not.
Sound: Narration was used all the way through to give the documentary a clear structure and understanding also various sound effects from films in the background were used.
Camera Shots: The camera shot used were simple, for example lots of zooms and extreme close ups were used in interviews as well as head and shoulder shots and also pans and tracks when they were in store making the angle look as if it was never ending.
Editing: Generally slow pace editing was used, including dissolves cutaways and un-focused zooms.

Graphics: where simple white on black in a small common font so it didn’t distract the audience attention.
Archive material: Included various Disney films for example lion king and the little mermaid, the mouse hunt trailer and red carpet events.

Mise En Scene: The mise en scene tied into the subject very well and was relevant all the way through, for example green screen was used in each interview with the background relating to the movie the interviewee was talking about.
Graphics: where simple white on black in a small common font so it didn’t distract the audience attention.
